CLARIAH Community Session
CLARIAH has started discipline specific meetings with the aim of facilitating Digital Humanities education and research.
Last Thursday, a first exploratory session with Work Package 6 was organized focusing on text. The participants have talked about the opportunities and challenges within their discipline specifically. Which general computational skills should every scholar working with textual data learn? Should courses focus on one tool or should we provide an overview of the possibilities and tools out there? How can we teach toolcriticism? Based on this conversation, a second meeting will be organized later this year during which we will focus on sharing knowledge in educating these methods. If you would like to parttake, stay updated or learn more about the outcome of this meeting, please contact: liselore.tissen@bb.huc.knaw.nl.
