Exploring decolonial perspectives using the Media Suite
During the Summer School Heritage, Identity & Inclusivity (RUG, Reinwardt), CLARIAH will be part of a panel discussion exploring the decolonization of knowledge in the Media Suite.
Vrijdag 7 juli, 09:30 - 11:30
This annual summer school edition of the Leeuwarden Summer School on Cultural and Linguistic Diversity explores how cultural and linguistic diversity is at the base of social, economic and educational inequalities. During the Summer school, Asli Özgen-Havekotte will give a lecture and be part of a panel discussion, taking CLARIAH Media Suite as a case study to explore the benefits and complexities implicated in the debates and practices of decolonising archives. Based on previous experience with using Media Suite as an educational tool in a decolonial classroom as well as the lecturer’s own research, this session will point to the potentials of digital tools to address as well as contribute to diversity and inclusion policies, procedures, and practices.
